I genuinely loved the interaction above - we're all used to big companies telling us why we must pay money for things. There is a tension at the core of the ideas of cost and value and I loved his mastery of it. I paid my money for the little bit of magic he imbued into the book and the little bit of magic it will imbue into my collages.
I'm able to partake in car boot season more and more each year as the babes grow bigger and it's nourishing my soul.
And here's a picture of me designing the final piece in the studio, entirely accurate apart from the fact that I brushed my hair, got dressed and wiped the toothpaste off my face for the camera
In no particular order.
Artworks going into frames, a trip to Barcelona, a birthday cake, an angry cat in a sling, dead daffodils and pen squiggles.
I'm excited to have my Vessels Print up in the shop
I made it as part of my exhibition at Alnmouth last year and I really liked it. I put it in the show and was really hoping it wouldn't sell. I told Jack and he tried to buy it for me, from my own show - what a cutie, what a wally.
I'm really happy with how the print's come out, it's captured the blue background that I love. It zings against so many of the wall colours in our house.
I've given up the idea of making perfectly styled shots with my work, please accept this genuine child's bedroom as a backdrop, look at the print against that green, so good.
