Sifting through my papers I found a small seam of textures I’d made for this commissioned pieces so I revisited it. I felt very excited by using the paste paper to show the threads, I think it worked well.

Car boot sketching

I went to my favourite car boot at the weekend, it's held in the grounds of the livestock market. I dutifully did my shopping while skipping around the enormous lakes of standing water on the tarmac and listening to the guy with the van that's in front of a steaming pile of manure flogging discount meat over a loud-hailer.
